Food Fight - squares and graphic issues with characters only

game was working fine, moved the cabinet, now have squares that change a bit around the characters only, and other character sprite issues that morph a bit as they move. cleaned the 2 edge connectors, no fix. where should i focus on, and should i remove, clean any chip legs, and if so, which ones? TIA...

forgot to add: game does reset on random, have not trouble shot that yet. the glitchy block graphics is new, though....but when i have the board out, anything to check on for the reset?

I would try to clean all of the socketed chips first.
You could try to clean all of the EPROM legs with a soft ruby red eraser and then reseat all of the eproms. The CPU is also socketed.

Also check to see if your board is running with the proper voltages 1st !!

i checked voltages a while ago when it reset at random, but will do that again. thanks...

what chips are the specific graphic rom chips?

I keep this site bookmarked in case I need to know which chips do what on a board. http://www.solvalou.com/subpage/arcade_roms/F/foodf2

thank you. bookmarked that site.

ok, i've removed and cleaned every chip, checked the voltages again...i have the same sprite issue with moving characters. only started after i moved the game into the house. not sure where to go next. anyone know which chip controls character graphics, and i'll buy those chips?

game has not reset this AM though...so that's a good step.

any other input? thinking about moving it back into the garage where it was working well...lol.

stumped so far. is this a PAL chip problem, and if so, is that available anywhere?
