Food Fight Shirt ready for preorder

Ok if blacks more money how about anything but a ringer they look gay in my opionion. For what its worth I order a lot of screen printed shirts and the printer ask what color do I want the run in I can mix and match I've never been charged for it in our business or in the school shirts we order for the soccer teams to sell for boosters.

Because the shirts you are selling are one or two color, or digitally printed from a photoshop or illustrator file. These shirts have been designed with a very specific shirt color in mind. The printing is being done from 25 years old films. The whites you see in the design are CLEAR on the screens- the shirt color shows through in those locations. They do not use any white ink- the WHITE cotton of the shirt is what shows through in the design. If I printed on a blue shirt, the hats would be blue. In order to get white (on a black or other color shirt), the printer has to create a white layer from scratch, and add an additional screen to a design that is already using 6 layers. Printing a 6/7 layer design is not cheap. I could scan each layer into a file and combine them in photoshop. They could then be printed digitally, without doing any of the screens. That would allow printing on any color, but the quality and durability of the print would suffer.

These are retro designs, printed on retro shirts. If no one cares about authenticity, I can churn out lower grade products instead.

I think the design on white looks great. I don't think people are complaining so much about the white vs. black as they are just taking issue with the ringer. Just a plain all white shirt would shut the ringer complainers up.

Everyone likes to complain including myself... I'm waiting for a shirt with a game I have actually played so I can buy one. That's certainly not your fault though...

black is SOOOO over done. if I had a nickel for every band I printed Black shirts for...
I wouldnt be doing arcade repros

maybe a nice royal blue wouldve been a better match-IMO
But to do a black Id imagine Scott has extra costs involved as well
using the orginal films probably wouldnt have a white layer since they were originally printed on white shirts/ringer Ts. changing that to only meet the needs of a few would require addtional work to the art and add most likley add costs.

Good explanation. That's it, in a nutshell. It's also a no win situation. Everyone wants something different. There are the 'I only wear black', 'I only wear American Apparel', 'I hate black', 'that's gay', 'that's douchebaggy' , and the 'why cant you print a Pit Fighter' shirt', groups. I can't seem to please any of them. The only problem, is that it costs money to stock a bunch of colors in a bunch of sizes. I'm not really that fond of sitting on hundreds of unsold shirts.

These are still available in all sizes. They are not being delivered until next Friday. I am up to a whopping 15 pre-paid orders. That will assure that I get stuck with lots of inventory on this project. I guess I picked the wrong design this time around.

I would take a Pit Fighter shirt. Seriously.
