Finally rearranged the storage unit so I could get to FF and pull it out to start the de-conversion. It has a Crystal Castles kit installed and the front of the cab has been painted black.

I was lucky enough to find a FF wire harness about a year ago so I'm good to go there.
I will be installing a new monitor, NOS joystick and a repro overlay from Phoenix Arcade.

First step is to remove the black paint on front.

Let me know if you need a Disco monitor -- I've got a FF cab I'm about to part out. Also have the ISO block and lower board harness.

I'm working on my Food Fight right now. I've got most of the black paint off of the front and working on the sides tonight.

Where did you find the joystick and the boards and the bezel?

I deal in parts so I have NOS FF stick parts.
I also have 3 or 4 board sets that I need to test. Marquee and monitor bezel are here waiting to be put on the machine.

Im interested in any food fight parts. Esp harness and PCB.

what brings on the interest in food fight? I mean you must have had lots of chances to get one before?

Nice cab. Hopefully you can get the pint off..

I am also interested in Food Fight controller parts. I just bought this one off of eBay [http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...73937&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_500wt_1156] and I'm working to restore it to near perfect.

20 minutes after I accepted delivery the joystick mounting plate broke and fell right into the cabinet :(. Fortunately I was able to take everything apart and fix it back up, but the NOS mounting plate is broken.

I decided to go further and inspect the entire controller only to find the bellows has some micro tears along the fold lines. Additionally the square joystick plate looks like someone tried to drive a Buick through it. Now I'm searching for parts which can make it new again.

The only other thing wrong with it is that the Control Panel Overlay has some wear. I was lucky enough to find this auction on eBay [http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...33179&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_500wt_1156] for the Phoenix CPO reprint.

Other than that...if someone can erase the minor screen burn that says FOOD FIGHT...I'm in next to new condition :).

So, please let me know if you're willing to sell any of the controller parts, especially bellows, mounting plate, square plate or linkages!

Can't wait to become friends with all of the people who love this game as much as I do! :p

You can't erase screen burn. But you CAN swap tubes. That Disco monitor uses a CR31 thin neck CRT tube with a high resistance yoke, similar to the G07. If you can find an old TV with a matching yoke & tube, you're golden.

Another option would be to pull a tube from a G07. You should be able to use both the tube and yoke with the Disco chassis.

Or, you could buy my Disco monitor, which has zero screen burn ;)

I'd consider just buying a new Disco monitor assuming the installation isn't insane. I'd really like to not have my childhood dream object kill me while I'm replacing the monitor.

I don't really know anything about CRTs and tube swaps. I'll have to go on an internet scavenger hunt before I begging anything like that. My screen looks pretty good...obviously I'd love it to be 100% perfect, but I can probably live with it the way it is for a little while.

Are there companies still manufacturing these CRTs?

I know i've seen linkages advertised on the web, and I think some of those other parts as well... the whole joystick not so much though.

RAM controls was the one selling them, I believe. It's costly to build one up. :(

I have a very small amount of NOS FF parts on the site and I will be adding the RAM reproduction shaft/knob and pivot ball this week.
I'm also having more reproduction linkage made.

installed wire harness, pcb, pcb cage, brand new monitor, bezel and marquee translight.
