So before I invest a ton of time and money in buying side art from Phoenix
Arcade (coming very soon) and restoring this food fight only to sell it down
the road, I figure I'd throw it out there as is since I could use the room.

This is a rare game for the east coast. They grow like weeds on the west coast.

100% working Food Fight. Had some power stability issues but I narrowed it
down to the AR board. AR will be capped and 100% before you pickup.
Monitor is nice, no burn. Bezel is perfect, and includes a super nice glass
marquee (which I hunted for several months for). Does not have the
original gimbel joystick. Uses another more reliable brand. I will throw in a
repro CPO that needs to be applied. The cab has no water damage but has a
pretty decent lockbar hole on the front and the top left corner has some
cracking and will need some Glue/Bondo.

*** SOLD ***

Would have liked to try this game out before you sold it, not to buy it lol, just to try it and see what all the hype is about.
I cannot for the life of me ever remember actually seeing or playing it.

It really is a great game. The Atari 7800 port is actually pretty good for getting an idea of the gameplay... if you have one of those laying around. :)

I appreciate you posting this for sale after you offered it to me for $500.00.

Nice Move!

It works 100%, needs some definite cosmetic work. One upper corner needs bondo, and some bondo on the front (big lock bar hole). No water damage. If I was keeping it I'd pick up a new side art/front kit from Phoenix Arcade. I do have a new silkscreened CPO that needs to be applied which I would include. It doesnt have the original joystick. It has another brand (more reliable). Has a really nice glass marquee. Its not a showcase piece but they are still pretty rare on the east coast. With some work it could be really nice.

$500

If I end up keeping it and doing the restoration work.. it will be well over 1k.

From the pictures I dont see why you want to restore this game. it looks pretty good to me. Arcade games are supposed to be a little dinged up.

You'd have to be much more commited in your inquiry for me not to post it for sale if I had given a quote of $500 when you said you "may" be interested. Perhaps there is more to the story, but from what you posted I'd have no problem listing it if I were in his shoes. I do get annoyed when I clearly indicate I want something and then it gets sold to another, because I just wasn't the first to pay, but even that is really kind of "fair" when you put on your seller hat. How many say they want something "for sure" and then don't follow through? However, I tend to stay away from sellers who do that. In the long run I think it hurts them here. So from the outside looking in, that's how I'd call this one given what was posted.

I have to come to Malice's defense on this because he did something cool for me... He held a game for like two weeks on the promise I would buy. I think if you had given him any kind of solid commitment the game would have been yours.

Here is my solid commitment:

Ok, That's more than a fair price. I would like to ask one thing of you though. Please take pictures of all that you have described so I can asses what needs to be done. I'm making a trip to Ohio shortly to pick up a new cabinet for another project and may just pick up a new FF cabinet as well.

Pictures I would like to see:

Front and back of Bezel
Any damaged areas or areas of concern
CPU
The front and back of the CP.

When the new Joystick was installed did they hack the CP?

If all goes as planned can I pay cash on pickup?

Thank you very much,
Jason
