An issue I ran into the other night...
I had to replace the original gun that came with the unit. One of the first hints when I first got it had been to use the silicone lube stuff on the silicone parts. It acts as a sealant so the vacuum can actually do its thing.
I'd forgotten to apply this silicone stuff to the new one; I'd been wondering why the new gun was doing such a piss-poor job of sucking the solder away, until I remembered this.
