I had an issue where I was not getting any sound. I replaced the 8910 sound chip, LM741 chip, and the M51516L chip screwed to the Heat sync.

Know I have sounds EXCEPT. The intro song is sounds off (flat). Other songs and sounds sound fine but anytime it plays that song its off.

Is this a RAM, ROM, or something else. Any help is appreciated

Was the PSG(8910) a known working one? There are a couple 2114 rams on there. I have seen a few frogger boards with bad ram on the sound board.

There ar several 2114 rams that are on the main board. Do I need to replace them all or is there a way to identify the bad one?

The game plays fine with no issue other than the sound...

This is one of those times there this hobby make me think I should just quit. I took the 2 2114 ram chips of the sound board and noticed that some of the leads of the boar where very brittle and brock off. Tryed to use a wire to couple the end point back together and they tried to started the game. Now I have no sound at all. Ya that is fricken histerical.

So I took the board out and took a break. I found it better to walk away frather than trhough the board. :).

Next step is to check every lead and try again. I'll do that and report back tommorow.

Question: I did not tied the connections to anyhting othe then of the chips (where the power and ground are) just the middle of the chips. Do you think anything plew? I used risers for the rams so should I use put new rams?
Thanks
