It's been a lifelong dream to fly in a Zeppelin, I am finally getting my chance and holy crap what a chance it is.

Tomorrow I will be flying from Long Beach to just north of San Jose. The trip will take 8-10 hours depending on the wind. We fly at 1000 ft. 35mph. The best part is the windows roll down like on a school bus and the zeppelin is actually longer than a 747 jet!

The time of the trip just happens to coincide with CAX so it works out perfectly. It's a one way trip and I'll be taking a train back to LA on Sunday.

See you all Saturday!

Now thats making the most of a trip....arrive in style...pictures if you please of your trip when you get back..

Hey, that's what everyone was saying when they boarded the Hindenburg! Woot! This is gonna be AWESOME, dude!

No American zeppelin or blimp has ever used hydrogen. Only helium.

The Hindenburg and other German airships used hydrogen because of the military embargo that the USA put on Germany. The US actually has the largest reserves of helium in the world.

It was expensive but considering that this is only one of three zeppelin companies in the entire world and the only one in the US, you don't really have much of a choice if you wanna fly on one.

Wooooaaaaah, a Zeppelin! Way to make an entrance Craig, have fun brother.

But to be truly a Zeppelin.. wouldn't it have to be helium filled and come with all the excitement of a small spark resulting in a plunging firey death ?

Actually, In order to be a Zeppelin, it would have to be built by Luftschiffbau-Zeppelin.

Kind of like buying petroleum jelly and calling it Vasoline.

Damn Hindenburg is the reason we are'nt driving Hydrogen cars.
The most abundent source of energy in the universe, and we can't help but buy foreign oil.

Anyway,
Enjoy your flight :)
I would go in a second.

I am so jealous. That Zeppelin has flown over my house a couple of times. It currently has the "Up" advertisement on it (or at least it did a week or two ago). Enjoy your ride!
