Ping Chad @ Arcadecup.com

Oh, and this thread should be in monitors...

do I need to replace with a zenith flyback ? or will just a WG flyback work with this?

Has to be the Zenith flyback which has been no longer available for a long time. You might check with Chad at arcadecup.com to see if he might have any of these special flybacks.

mabye .. i had a few of those old zenith k7000 but i honestly do not remember if i ever swapped to a standard chassis on one of them or not.

theoretically youd think they would be the same but if zenith went to all the troubel to use thier own fly nmabye the yoke was thier own or not..

again that would be a good question for a monitor guru like chad....

thanks guys

This is the first arcade machine I bought and now I feel like the guy screwed me not telling me the Zenith flyback was not made anymore. He told me $20 from Bob Roberts to get a new one, and low and behold they are impossible to get.

Wonderful......

also pm'd chad from arcadecup with my dilemma

If this is a 19" tube k7000, then you should be able to use a standard 19" k7000 chassis on it.

The Zenith k7000A chassis flyback has different pin spacing/layout/wiring that prevents you from using a standard k7000 flyback on the chassis.

is there a direct fit chassis?

or what do I need to get to change that one?

Most of these "universal replacement" chassis have the wrong connectors on them for the USA. Yes they can be changed to make them plug n play.

Here are the Mouser Electronics part numbers for the Molex connectors that would be needed:

1 # 538-26-60-4060 Vertical .156" KK series 6 pin header (65 cents each) This is the video/sync connector.

1 # 538-19-09-2029 Plastic .093" 2 pin housing (43 cents each) This is the power cord connector that Wells-Gardner uses.

2 # 538-02-09-2103 Male pins, .093" (13 cents each) Fits above power connector.
