Fluorescent Marquee Keeps Blowing Bulbs

The fluorescent marquee bulb in my Q*bert keeps blowing bulbs. Any idea what might cause it?

I replaced the starter.

Purchase a new ballast. My Q*bert did the same thing when I installed a bulb and starter. I bought a ballast from http://www.pbresource.com/ . Just e-mail them w/ the part number from the manual, place the order and send them a check (they don't accept credit cards). When I ordered it from them the item and part number was "Ballast (60 HZ) - Part Number EL-70 $10.00" .

Obviously, you pickup an under-cabinet Florissant and install that as well. I just opted to put the $10 ballast in there and it worked great.

I couldn't find the exact part locally but you could just take it to your local hardware and I'm sure they can find something that would work... Just assume the starter is bad but it's probably fine.

You can get the ballast at Home Depot... last time I bought one there it was $5. I don't know if Lowe's has them or not.
