Hi anyone got a z80 pod ribbon cable/male CPU end (cable assembly thing that plugs into the UUT CUP socket and connects into the fluek pod)

I just broke a pin of my z80 pod and the break was too deep for me to just solder on a new pin.

other ribbon cables from other 40 pin cables I assume would work I think.

if you have one let me know cost shipped to 21794
(againt don't need the whole POD just the cable assembly that plugs into the unit under tests CPU)

thanks

Not all cables are interchangeable. There's a part number on the probe head, check this table to see which would work for you: https://www.flippers.com/fluke.html

I think it's also relatively easy to build an unshielded replacement with ribbon cable.

Thx for the info. If I don't find a production one maybe I will try making one.
These are basically ide cables right? So I could probably use an ide cable and design a little breakout board for the probe piece

Do a search, someone already designed a board and put it up on osh park for free. Iirc, uses 2 twisted pair cables and even pin is ground so that everything is shielded.

They're 40 pin, yes, but I'd suggest using new parts. You'd need a 40 pin IDC DIP connector for the PCB side. I don't have a part number, but they've got to be available, since I see brand new Ms. Pac daughterboard cables for sale.

Thx. For now I stole one from another pod I was not using but definitely need a permanent replacement, I actually like the idea of rolling my own since I'd like to extend the pins anyway so I can probe the CPU pins with an oscobe while it's plugged in if I ever need to directly probe than which of course is only rarely.

I have 40 pin IDP headers and both 40 pin flat and 40 pin braided ribbon cable available.

The only problem... I'm out on travel for a bit.

Thx appreciate it, though I'm good I ordered the part will take a while to get but I've got a donor from a pod I don't use till then
