I'm considering picking up a fluke 9010a and some pods for it. I tried to google it but maybe I'm just not putting the right words in order.
Judging from some of the youtube vids I've watched it's a pretty complex tool to use and a healthy learning curve in learning to operate one.
I'm curious though which pods are the most useful to own.
Is there a listing somewhere with what pods work with what games?

Depends on which era games you plan to work on...
For late 70s stuff, 8080 was common.
For early 80s stuff, Z80 was very common, and 6502 esp for Atari.
By the late 80s, 68000 was common.

Now that MAWS is gone, I use the MAME source to determine which CPU(s) a game has: http://mamedev.org/source/src/mame/drivers/index.html

And for some games... the 6809, but don't hold your breath on that one. They routinely go for > 200 bux even if they are broken.
