In all it was a blast! I posted my all-time high score on DK (and then someone came along and topped it twice! :p). There were a TON of EM pins there and a good many classic vids. They also segregated the newer stuff from the old, which kept the kids occupied in a separate area. That was kinda nice. There was a huge turnout yesterday, except for the mini-auction which made some people happy I'm sure. I hope they're able to do it again next year.

Awesome, nice looking pictures. I would love to attend one of those type events.

Unfortunately there were not very many classic vids but I can't complain since I did not bring anything. It could also have used more of the "expo" touch with guest panelists, more booths, etc. It was worth going if you lived in the area but a tough call if you had several hours to drive.

The auction was a bit sad and appeared to consist of lots of left overs from Apollo Amusements. There was a Super Auctions in Orlando the same day so the timing did not help.

thanks for the slideshow, great pics I think I saw myself in one of them. I was there Sat. allday till about 10pm I got to play alot of pins I remember and some I've never played before. Not alot classic games but still some good titles. I keep kicking myself that I didn't sign up for the auction for that super clean Kiss pin, went for $750.. I thought it was gonna go for much higher and since it was a Apollo auction. can't wait till next years Ape

Orlandos Superauction was a dissappointment. Only had around 40 vids, 15 sitdowns and about a dozen pins. the vids were ALL junk, maybe 1-2 nice ones total, the rest old conversions or unknown jamma crap. The pins, however, were nice ones, and went cheap. Wish I had the extra cash:rolleyes:

I saw the results of it and saw they had a Mario Bros, do you know if it was a WB? and how'd that Defender look for $100? I wish this auction wouldof not fell on the same weekend as Ape and I wouldof gone to both of them.

I'm glad I chose the expo. I've got too much crap in my garage anyway. :)

I left about 7 PM Sat. But before I did I stood at the front of the expo, stopped, and just listened for a few. Man, all those pins and vids humming and pinging with folks playing them! I just drank in the sound one last time before leaving. You don't get to hear that too often!

it was alot of fun even though I'm not a pin guy, I can't wait till next years

no, standard size nintendo cab, Mario sideart, marquee was inkjet, VS. CP and Supermario board.
Only Defender there was missing the monitor, cab was not in bad shape physically(very few dents or dings) but had original paint and quite a bit of it was rubbed off. It was plugged in earlier and sounded like it was playing blind. It brought either 175 or 200, I dont remember which

That looks like it was a very fun time plus it was in Florida which had to make it that much nicer. I hope someday to attend something like that when I get my third week of vacation in about two years.

thanks for the info, anyone know when the next SA is coming to Orlando? I checked the site and didn't see anything.

MAN ... Sorry I missed you. Something was whacked with my phone and the missed calls didn't register until around 2:30 in the afternoon as we were loading up and getting out of there. My phone never seems to do very well in that huge outbuilding ...

Anyway, really sorry about that. We will have to connect next time!

You are right! this was easily the worst auction I have seen there in years. And you didn't miss anything by not bidding on the pins - alot of them were buybacks. I was bidding on the Jurassic Park until I realized I was bidding against the owners and stopped. Would have been a great buy if I could have gotten it for less than a grand, but they clearly weren't letting it go at that price.

My buddy did pick up a Judge Dredd for around 400 bucks ... some issues, but he will get it sorted out pretty quickly.

Sorry to de-rail the APE thread. I would have loved to go to both!
