I posted this in the restore section, but I wanted to share it here too:

Check this thread for all the details.

I made this control panel for Busted up Simpsons that I "restored" to decent condition but just black. This cabinet will hold my Xbox 360, maybe in the future I will have the money for new Simpsons side art, but for now it is black.

The panel is particle board with aluminum flashing and red florescent plexi. This plexi is not cheap, I think I ended up spending $50 with shipping.

I still havent decided on what color t-molding I am going to use, I am leaning toward white, but I might do black. I was originally considering red, but the panel changes color from red to pink to orange depending on the light source.

Also I haven't painted the front of the cabinet or control panel box yet.

looking good! if you want you can take those 4 buttons that are off color and make them your "Medium" on both sides. that way both players buttons will look the same under blacklight.

Good idea, 4 of the white buttons respond to the black light and 8 don't! I have had this happen before one of my block buttons on my mk responds and the other doesn't. In that case they were HAPP not IL buttons.

I like it Tighe! Looks cool!

Thanks! I was thinking I might add a Capcom of Street fighter logo to the center as is it just a big blank area, I print it out and cut out everything but the black and sandwich it between the plexi and aluminum.

I don't know if I want to do button labels or not. I don't care for the standard Capcom design in this case.
