Flood Pacman Restore Video

Im ALIVE LOL.... things are getting better. I got some real shocking family news i had to take some time to deal with. The Pac is exactly where i left off ready for stencils. So I will pick right up where I left off when I get going again soon. Thanks to everybody that has been checking in I appreciate it!

Glad to hear you are okay. Take all the time you need! We will be here when you return.

Let this thread rise from the dead! As you may know, Arcade Body Shop is currently in a standstill. In the mean time, I had to take action. In February of 2018, I went to Myrtle beach (its 90 miles away from me) to pick up everyone's favorite pacman. I started doing a little work on it this past spring but then it just got too hot and humid here in South Carolina for the stencils to do well. This October the humidity finally broke and I was able to get the stencil work done. We are at the point where I just need to refinish the metal work and floodpac will be complete! Here are some photos of the progress!

In this group of pics I re-routed the t-molding channels and got to work on the harness. As you can see rather than use the flooded harness that was rusted and corroded, I allowed one of my other pac projects to donate their harness and transformers. (new fuse holders installed)

Pics of the stencils being worked on - I must say Stencils are a giant pain in the @$$ but the results certainly speak for themselves!

The black is definitely the worst! So many little details! (Some of the pics may still contain small pieces of stencil still left on)

So here is where it stands today. I need to restore all of the metal work (Marquee brackets, Coin door, control panel) then I should be able to wrap up flood pac!

MyrtleVegas is doing well. I speak with him regularly. He has been pretty busy lately constructing a new voice over studio after completing a whole house remodel. Definitely a stand up guy. I am very lucky to call him my friend. I have filmed some of my work on the pac but honestly my camera work sucks and my voice definitely doesn't match his. Maybe someday the footage will end up on the channel... We shall see. Anyway I hope to have the pac done this week. What I wouldn't give to have access to a sand blasting cabinet at the moment. Doing all the metal work with a sander and wire wheel is killing my back! Flood pac will be ready soon though!

Almost there! Working on the guts of the coin door and have the control panel primered! Should be done soon!

How did I miss this! I have to bump this because I was googling arcade body shop wondering how things were going and I found this finished project. It turned out amazing! Thanks for finishing it....and I hope Jeff is still doing well and has overcome the family issues he has had to deal with. That channel was amazing....but understand breaks are necessary during such times. Wish him the best! 👍🏼😁

I fast forwarded through the videos to the end. not sure how I missed this years ago. it's a bunch of stuff I'll never be able to do. excellent work to all involved.

This is definitely an inspiration. I'm just beginning my complete bottom up Pacman restoration, which will also include the stenciling process. I hope mine turns out somewhere close to this. 🤔😬
