The last 2 rebuild kits I bought were for data east games and had the bushings. I just bought 3 kits for a sega and bally/williams with neither having the bushings. The bushings wear out as well, so why are they not included anymore? Another parts order where the shipping is more than the parts!

Where did you buy them?

I talked to Terry at Pinball Life, and he did not include them for a while because there were people who did not want them included in the kit. He then added them back because of some complaints. When in doubt, send them an email and ask what is in the kit.

I ordered a rebuild kit last week from pinball life and bushings did not come with the kit. Also, bushings are not in the picture which serves as the only description. This is for the Williams 1993-1998 kit. Make sure you order bushings as well...

Better yet, take apart and clean/adjust everything, and just order the individual parts that actually need replacing. 3/4 of the stuff in a rebuild kit generally doesn't need replacing in my experience. EOS switches? no. Coil stop? no. Springs? generally not, unless really old. Plunger? No. (Just file the end down a bit if it's mushroomed.) Sleeves? no. (Despite common practice of replacing sleeves--and they are cheap, so it doesn't hurt--they usually just need a bit of cleaning. The plastic itself rarely wears.) Linkage assembly? no. 95% of the time the only part there that needs replacing is the link itself. (unless you stripped the tightening screw!)

Order a couple of bushings and links, clean and adjust everything (including making sure the coil is tight in the bracket), and you can spend your $$$ on things you really need.
