So Im chillin down here in Virginia Beach with my family for vacation. We come down here often because my wife has family down here, and I always make it a point to stop at Flipper McCOY's. A very cool arcade, with alot of classics. Most of the games are not very well kept. Some need new art, overlays, cap kits ect. But still really cool to hang out in. Alot of good titles, as well as a shooting gallery, redemption and a few pins. Nice to see a TRON and DOT still on location. Ofcourse I played both. Here are a buncha pics for your enjoyment. BTW, if you take a pic of a shooting gallery with the flash on, it activates EVERYTHING at once. Scared the crap out of me. :)

Sweet! Me and the girlie are heading down there in a few weeks. I'll make it a point to get her to go shopping for a while... ;)

It that a HOTD 2 on the right? They certainly like the Sega shooters. 2 Lost Worlds? I love the cut EDOT too. Never realized it was that much taller than Tron & DOT

Yeh, thats a HOTD2. Shooters seem to bring in money these days. I only go for the classics.

I love Flipper McCoys, great atmosphere and the perfect balance between classic and new games. If they really do sell off anything I'm so getting that Raiden II, I've pumped enough dollars in it though that in a fair world they'd give it to me, haha :D

Awesome place! I have some pics from an early 90s visit. The wood panelling, neon signage and pinball backglasses all look the same.

Back then, they had even more classics... Tutankham, Asteroids, Dig Dug, Centipede, Millipede, Turbo, Darius, Missile Command...

Kyle

Can you believe I have two arcade games at home and I've never been here??

I live about 25 minutes away.

I had heard about it, but didn't know they had that many retro games. I will have to pay a visit soon.
