Got a Flight 2000 on my backlog for whenever I get into a house. I've ordered almost all the stuff I need to make it like new again (minus the backglass which is slated for another run by CPR in about a month or so).

Only got a few questions I can think of on this one for now:

1.) I want to get a new set of the 40-something red plastic faceted posts on the pf. Anybody know offhand if they are 1-1/16" or 1-3/16"? I didn't feel like unwrapping it at my storage to measure them.

EDIT: Took a guess that these were 1-3/16". After re-checking they make this type of post in 1" and 1-3/16" so it pretty much has to be the taller of the two...

2.) I want to get all new stationary targets. Anybody know what works as a replacement for these early 80s Stern/Chicago Coin titles? I think these are fully plastic and not made by anyone so they're probably going to need to be 'upgraded' with a beefier Williams style set in the same sizes/color. Only info I have is that the originals were part numbers "A-721-L-1" and "A-721-L-3"... I think...

Also does anyone know if the original stationary targets were all white on F2K? They are on mine (which appear to be original), but I can't seem to find pics of a machine on the 'net to corroborate that.

EDIT: Still not sure on the above, but guessing that there is 1x 1"x1-1/2" target and 2x 1"x1" targets. Going to have to wait until I can dig into the project unless someone else can tell me.

3.) The paint job is in nice original condition, but Stern did a shit paint job on it and it has tons of fisheye in some spots. I know the stencils were made, but can't find anyone who has them in stock. Anybody know of a supplier? If not I'm just going to touch up the few bare spots and try not to look at it too closely. :p

EDIT: Still can't find these stencils for sale. Probably just as well, I'd rather just do touch ups and get to enjoying the game sooner I suppose anyways...

4.) WTF kind of textured powder did they use on the coin door and legs on these? It's like a gray hammertone or something. Picked up a similar powder I'm hoping will look decent, but won't get to try it until I get back.

5.) Stern coin door stickers - again, an item that was made but nobody seems to have in stock anymore. Anybody got a source?

EDIT: phoenixarcade.com has them, ordering now.

6.) This game used the old gray plastic pop bumper rings. I'm likely going to try to swap them with some nice chrome finished ones I bought (mainly to save myself an order from Action Pinball since I can't seem to find them elsewhere and have nothing else I need to buy from them). Anybody done this? Do they match up well enough to even fit?

Bump.

Figured out a couple more items on my own, but still wondering what the stationary target sizes are and whether newer chrome pop bumper ring and rod will work.

Have you tried posting in rec.games.pinball? There's a ridiculous wealth of knowledge there with the classic Sterns. I had some questions about my Dracula and got some great feedback.

Had not occurred to me to try that as yet, but maybe I will give it a shot. Just figured someone here might have a F2K and know this stuff off the top of their head since it is a pretty iconic machine for Stern from that era, but now that you mention it most of the KLOV pinheads are more into late-80s+ machines.
