I was looking at attempting a bizarre tube swap that's never been tried before, and concluded it can't be done (incompatible necks
), but I'm curious now.
On a flat-tube chassis, what is different on it, versus a convex tube chassis? Is the flyback done differently? Changes in circuitry?
