Flame suit on!

I needed to fix this game on a budget. I wasnt about to spend $600 on a playfield, especially since thats more than I spent on the entire game.
So, I found a High Res scan of the playfield on the internet, took it to www.stokedgraphics.com and they did some re-scaling for me and printed me this:

Here is a before pic of the game:

You could literally scrape any area of paint off with your fingernail.

I sanded the entire playfield, put 2 coats of clear poly on then sanded that.
Now I had to cut out all the holes on the print for the inserts.
Next I adhered the print to the playfield with countertop laminate contact cement.

Now I had to deal with the print being higher than the inserts, so I found a 2 part epoxy that dried clear and applied it evenly into all of the inserts.
Here you can see the height difference:

After all that was done, I lightly sanded the print with 1000, followed by adhesion promoter, then Spraymax 2K clearcoat.

The game is now complete, I used black rings and it plays like new.

I invested $150 into this. Hoping for some longevity out of it.

Update:

The game has not seen much play, but it has held up nicely.
The overlay is still glued down nicely to the playfield.
