I need an opinion. I have some flaking Aquadag on a G05-802. Is this considered minor enough to leave it alone or should I gently wipe away the flaking pieces and repaint it?

The dag turns the tube itself into a giant filter capacitor. From what I understand (may be wrong) the less dag you have the less filtering the "capacitor" is able to do? Much like other filter capacitors, the value itself is not critical for filtering/smoothing. SO... I would say no it is not an issue, especially if the monitor works and you have an adequate picture with no noise. You may want to do something to halt future flaking.
