I have an old pinball game that was in a wear house for years it was standing on its backside with the coin door facing up. Now it does have those 4 plastic coin sized tabs to stand it on so the wood is not touching the ground but this wear house was very damp so over the years the wood was sucking in the moisture causing the wood to swell a little bit. Most ofThe bottom edge of the game has broke off due to the swelling my question is can I do anything to toughen up this wood without having to replace it? The other sides are in great shape nice and strong it's just that one side no one sees. I have heard of guys using wood hardener would that work for what I want to do? If so how would I apply it?

Minwax Wood Hardener would be your best bet to strengthen what wood that is not too far gone. After a certain point, however, you're never going to get the stability you need out of what is there, and you'll need to replace/rebuilt certain sections.

Some people apply the hardener via a syringe in the vital areas. I use a small brush. You just have to make sure you do a light sanding on the sections and knock off as much of the loose material as possible before you apply.
