I recently acquired a Gauntlet cab. It had been converted and nothing was left except a monitor..plus the cab had been dropped at some point. The wood is not broken but the cab is coming apart in a couple places. Any advice on re-assembling a cab and making sure its strong?

It's definitely going to be a learning experience :D. I had picked up a Star Wars about a year ago, and the whole right side looked like it had a stroke. I started to take it apart and found that the blocking separated from the side of the cab. I ended up taking apart the top of the cab, refinishing some of the inside, cutting and attaching new blocking

It seems daunting at first, but when you break it down, see what's broken and where it goes, it doesn't take a whole lot to bring it back for most repairs. You'll want to have some basic hand tools, a few clamps, some straight strips of wood and a jigsaw. Just take your time and measure everything 2-3 times before cutting.

Good wood glue.

and lots of wood screws will turn this.

just make sure to take your time to get it aligned correctly :)

My Dynamo HS-5 can is coming apart on one side (you can see the wooden dowels). I eventually want to take everything out and attempt to repair that as well as fix some of the other damage on it and give it a new paint job
