First of all, thank you!

Second of all, BARSTOOL dammit! I swear I'm gonna change my name to Barstool...haha :D

Third of all, great advice :)

Second this^^^^

I do not stand when I play my games - those days are LONG behind me.

While I can certainly, erm, "appreciate" spiff's take on this, here's my two cents:

PERSONALLY, I wouldn't use an original cab. Especially when pre-cut repro cabs are readily available. In my neck of the woods these cabs are MUCH harder to come by than it is for the majority of you guys, so when I see a legit cab I'd love to own get used for something like this it does kiiiinda make me sad. But hey, your cab and all...

As far as weathered or mint: I usually lean toward restored but in the case of pseudo-weathered, I'd think that'd be cool IF it was going in a line-up of other patina'd games. If it's the only weathered example in a line-up of pristine games it'll look off. Same if it's pristine and the others are not.

As for Felix not being "worth" a cab, I get it. It's a shallow one-off game made for a movie. But it's still an awesome cab/movie tie-in! To me it's like Wyo's cabs. I don't think standing up to play Zelda or Ducktales is a particularly enjoyable way to experience those games. But I'll be DAMNED if I wouldn't own both those cabs already if I only had that kinda scratch!

In other words, it's a cab for a cab's sake, not necessarily for the game it houses. (Hence why I vote repro)

Totally agree with everything said here.

OP, go with the style the rest of your games are in so that it looks like it belongs in the lineup. Mine is a repro cab and pristine to match the rest of my collection.

And I love Wyo's cabs.

Honest opinion aside, he posted about this project here though. It's the forum equivalent of handing out flyers for a dog fighting operation at a PETA gathering.

Lol, nailed it!

At the risk of getting flamed, I had to make this game, as I love Disney as much as I love arcades. I enjoy looking at it even when it's not on, and so does my daughter. But it's also my MAME vertical cab, and the cab gets a lot more use in that capacity than it does actually playing Felix. To each their own.

Agree with this. I scratch built a FiF years ago, and haven't touched it in a while. I know nothing about Mame but maybe will experiment with it in that cab. Or a multi board, either way, I do love the look of Disney's design of the game.

Ive built 2 FIFjrs none of them were really true to form, but I never played them after awhile. I love the movie and owning the game was a neat conversation, but as time went on, I just didn't play it.

I have the art files and game file if needed thou, let me know!
