Fitting a game into a 2009 or '10 Honda Fit?

Can it be done? Anybody have the cargo dimensions? What about an 07 or 08?

Isn't the Fit Honda's answer to the Toyota Yaris and any other subcompact car?? I can't even fit a game in my Honda Pilot some of the time. Also, doesn't the car like weigh only 750 lbs? Could it even handle a person and an arcade game? I'd love to see pics if it can be done! :D

I think you may be able to do it. That little car has over 57 cu ft of cargo space with the rear seat folded down. You probably couldn't close the hatch though, it just doesn't look long enough.

Not the answer, but the improvement upon. No, it weighs 800lbs :), and yes, it can even handle 2 people!

dammit,...I jumped in here looking for a pic of a cab sticking half way out the back of a fit,......
not yet?

I'll check back...

Like any other good arcade collector, I am trying to gauge my new car purchase based on whether or not I can fit a game inside :) I have been wanting a Fit Sport for a long time.

WOW! I still don't think the opening would be big enough for a full size cab. Drew, just think- you could go in a whole new direction, only collect cabarets!! :D

You can always strap it down and use a bungee cord to hold the door down. The key is anchor points and how tall is the opening from bottom to top? I think it can be done. Someone fit a Q*Bert in a Prius with just barely a couple of inches to spare, and Q*Bert is about 24.5 inches wide.

You need to go to the dealer and measure one... Keep in mind that the front passenger seat can also lay down so you have a claimed 7' 9" of length to store cargo on the right side. I'm not sure you can fit an arcade game to the right of the driver seat, but I would sure as hell measure it. :) Of course you would have to put both back seats down, but it is worth a try.

Get a CRV I hauled a Cinematronics Star Hawk in that booger, had to keep the rear door partially open but it made the 85 mile journey and it gets great gas mileage!

Check out the Honda Element. You can fit a shit load inside them. I've had mine for over 6 years now and have been able to haul all sorts of bulky items. You can fold up the rear seats along the inside panels or completely remove them all together for a flat cargo van like floor. I fit a Missile Command with plenty of free space once and then another generic mini cab not long after with even more available space. My sister was able to cram a new washer AND a dryer in her own Element. There's a pinball collector on the elementownersforum.com that mentions using the Element to haul his pins (one at a time of course).

I've done a bunch of modifications on mine but it's a fun vehicle. They're ugly yes, but a great multi-purpose ride.

I just bought an '09 MINI Cooper and I think I can rule out all possibilities of fitting any arcade games but a countertop in there :)

My Isuzu Trooper was amazing for carrying games but I thought I'd go for something a little more fun this time. That's what friends' trucks are for!

I have a Yaris, which has comparable cargo space. you can fit a caberet in the back but it will stick out. I was going to attempt a ms pac cab in mine but it was about 2 inches too big to fit. you can get a hitch and you are ok to pull about 700 lbs. keeping in mind the weight of a trailer, that's not a whole lot.

I am gonna second the recommendation for the element. My friend has one and she lets me use it as a game getter. it has tons of space and you don't have to worry about dinging up the interior. plus, you can just hose it out if it gets dirty inside.

Well, if I can fit a pinball machine (head still mounted and all) in my little Saturn, I'd bet money that the Fit can handle a game. I researched the hell out of that car last year and it has massive cargo space for a small car.

This car has also hauled a Missile Command, an Asteroids, and more recently, Mario Bros. & Centipede. Im sure its hauled even more games that I have since forgotten.
