i have 4 19inch monitors that need to be capped. two look to be the same one from a millipede and the other from a dig dug. both have the same markings. the stickers say chassis no. NMX-L21G but then one says model no. TM-201G the other one says
model no. TM-202G so my question is would they use the same cap kit? i go off of the chassis number right? if so can someone tell me what kit i need? also if it matters they both use the same tube.

the 3rd monitor came from an old joust that was converted to an arch rivals. the stickers on this one read model no. 19K4901 under it wells gardner. looking at different cap kits online which one would i order for this one? the k4900? what does the 1 mean in k4901?

4th monitor came out of an old tatio cab that some one turned into a capcom bowling
the sticker reads model no. 19k4953 wells gardner. my question is the same as above do i order the k4900? and what does the 53 mean in the k4953?

i have posted some photos of the monitors, on the first photo can you tell me where i can find the molex ( i think thats what its called ) that hooks up to this monitor? this was pulled out of a working millipede so the harness / molex that plugged into it stayed with the game. after years of reading and watching videos on here its about time i try to fix one of these so i have four pulled out no better time then now to get my hands dirty
thanks for any and all help

if you order from bob the K4900 19" color is what you want for this series of chassis.

the other Matsushita chassis i don't know, as i scrap all those i come across.

Peace

Do the monitors in the Millipede and Dig Dug games still work? If so, your best bet on capping those Matsushita monitors is to meter out the caps with an ESR meter and only replace those that need to be replaced.

Those monitors are notoriously crappy and I wouldn't disturb them any more than you have to.

bob roberts has the Matsushita cap kits for you. you will need two differnt kits for these monitors according to bobs site. i personally have had good luck rebuilding these guys since they are not very populated and parts are not crammed together.

I just want to make sure I'm ordering the right kits. For the two WG I can just use the K-4900? Can anyone tell me what those other numbers mean? On the WG monitors?
Also the other two can someone tell me what cap kits I need for those? I don't want to order the wrong ones so any help would be great.

To answer the OP's question, the final number of the 4900 chassis series means little in relation to cap kits. The final number of the model differed for other reasons: for example, a 19K4901 may have signified a monitor in a vertical mount frame, and a 19K4906 may have signified a horizontally mounted one. Other minor differences (and generations) caused other changes in model numbers.

As far as cap kits for the 4900 go, they all used the same capacitors. At least the ones YOU'RE concerned with anyway. :D
