First time booting and playing pole position ii issues??

I got some spare boards PPII with battery damage not bad though .I cleaned everything and plugged in first time today. It booted but was on manual play(HOW TO GET ON AUTO?) only way i could get it to boot was the button .then i messed with dip switches and i think i got it to boot moving switch 8 and the J row of switches .Anyway i played a few games .it is definitely different like a slipping transmission with a 536 rear end .video shows the issue i ended up with
So i guess two questions any ideas on getting it to reboot considering everything is working on the test screen passes all tests .also how to get on auto play??
Old board is back in and working great.Edge connectors are bypassed to a test pinon both boards

Are you taking about a freeplay type setting?? Freeplay on these boards suck ass all mine would continually start a game when the last ended. (there is no "start" Button) so it just started the game again and again and again......

Page 1-11 shows your issue. I read your post again. Manual Start or "Auto Start" Suspect harness issue see schematic blah blah blah.

I would set ALL switches exactly like your other board that works. check the edge connections to be 100% sure. then test. If it Still says Manual Start for Shits and giggles swap the main board between the 2 sets and see if the issue follows the board. if not change the video board re test. one of the boards "could"have a failed buffer chip or something. Doing the Swap you can narrow down what board is having the issues then use the schematics to trace back to find the issue.
