I grew up on the Simpsons and have been collecting items since the 90s. I finally talked the wife into letting me buy a Simpsons arcade machine, it was my Valentines gift. I was able to fine one on CL for $175 and a 2 hour drive each way to get it. The system works but needs some work done on the cabinet and other cosmetic stuff done to it. I cant wait to get it all restored to have in my Simpsons room. Now just have to talk the wife in to letting me get the 2 pinball machines =o)

Here is a picture of the room where it will be going and the machine after I got it home and in the garage.

More pictures can be seen here

Ah, The Simpsons is a great game. Currently doing a little restore on mine as well. Lemme know if you need any pointers.

Best of luck with your project. I'm also working on a Simpsons restoration. I'm 90% done except for installing the side art I bought a few months back. At this point I'm probably going to wait until spring before I put a coat of lacquer on it so the art will stick properly. Good to see more and more people restoring these "new classics."

another Konami Cab restorer! Welcome to the team lol

do yourself a favour and leave it in the garage for a while and do the work on it before you bring it into your house. I think ItsAnAgent can tell you why LOL and you should check out his Sunset Riders restoration since it's basically the exact same cab.

Ill be doing all the restoring in the garage as the room its going in is upstairs and I only want to make that trip once. Ive been looking at all the restorations on here as this has been a great site as I really knew nothing about how arcade games in general worked. I always just played them and hoped one day Id have me a simpsons one.

Hopefully with the knowledge Im learning on here I can get my machine looking half as nice as some of the restorations I've seen on here.

The help I'm getting is going to make this a nice slow process

$175 is a great deal for that, the board and or the monitor alone is worth $175. . .

Heres the latest done on the project. I cut out a new front panel because of all the holes, the top was completely split, and the bottom was water damaged. Just figured it was easier to replace then repair.
