I got my first arcade for graduation last month and after having it a week I was set on doing some cosmetic work. Just repainted the cabinet/trim/coindoor and added some t-molding, but it looks sooo much nicer! Ordered a repro marquee and the 25 cent stickers also. Didnt really get inside of the thing because I'm not too knowledgeable yet. I hope to one day get a burn free monitor, but for now, I couldn't be happier :)

*The colors are way closer than the photos show. One was taken in natural light, the other with a single light bulb on my iphone.

Nice! It's great getting your first cab, isn't it? That one doesn't look to be in bad shape and it's a great starter, very addictive game.

I have been looking for another game nonstop! Its in pretty good shape and I think I got it for a decent price(200?). Hopefully I will be able to stop buying them after a couple, but Im sure that's what the all say :)

Bwahaha... I remember my first cab. "I finally have my OWN ARCADE MACHINE! I'm so happy! I don't need anything else ever."

"That Mario pinball I used to play would be nice next to that..."

"My own arcade game AND pinball! This is such a sweet pad! But, you know, the pinball is so long compared to the arcade game, I need to get a Dig Dug to even it out, I've always loved Dig Dug..."

"You can't have Dig Dug without Pole Position!"

...etc etc etc and now I'm at 13 games, not counting the claw machine I got for my little brother. I've learned to just stop pretending I'm 'done'. I am trying to funnel all my funds into restoration for a while, though, I need to get my favorite games looking 100% before I launch into buying even more cabs...

Haha I welcome it though. Ive got a pretty short list of games that I want for sure, but every time I search I find a game I completely forgot about! Maybe one day I'll dive into buying an old EM machine. MAKE IT STOP!!!!

For your first resto the game looks great, Super Mario Bros is really fun to play. I love those Nintendo cabs. After I got my first cab I realized that one cab looks lonely by itself... this hobby is addictive! Were you going to put the side art on the cab?

Not a bad job at all. Welcome to the club. Good luck at trying to stop after just a couple.

I started in January, and I'm already up to 7 actual cabs. I have spare monitors and some loose game boards to actually build 3 or 4 more cabs (once the monitors are repaired). I'm already out of room, since I rent a very small place. I had to store 1 at my sisters (2 hour drive away).. 2 at my brothers (an hour drive away), and the latest one is now in my buddies garage a mile down the road. Still no pinball's thou. I'm afraid to start buying those.

I just played Super Mario Brothers on a play-choice 10 at a friends house. Took seconds to warp to level 4, it's embedded in my memory too much. Thou I know the VS Super Mario Bro's is different in how far you can warp ahead. I have yet to play that one.

Im thinking about getting the generic Vs. side art. Not too sure yet. Trying to pick up a street fighter or golden axe before I mess with it again :)
