Using continues I got ~1,500,000, without continues ~600,000. I erased the 1.5 mil and turned off the continues and advanced level start about a month ago as those kill the replay value and I haven't been able to get over 260K since.Whats your HS, Sav?
The pricetag at CAX was $650. How much did I pay? I dont recall...
Sav - I would sell your cocktail if you could get an UR. The artwork makes this game, although I know you have space limitations.

You simply cannot use the throw food at the chefs at higher levels. Start learning to make it a fire drill to get to the cone and you'll get a lot better since that is the strategy you need to employ at the higher levels anyway. With the advanced start you get an extra guy for every 5 levels up to level 150. So if you keep continuing, around level 150 you start with over 30 guys. You die alot, but at 25K a cone you score alot too. It is hard to tell who "earned" those scores legitimately versus who just continued over and over since the game does not differentiate. I'm guessing alot of those scores on the machines at CAX were legit though...Yeah, I put mine on the TGTS settings (5 guys, no bonuses, no continues) and cant even get 100K, ha. In my defense, Ive still only played the game a handful of times. The HS on this one was 2M+ (must have been from CAX).

Yeah you do. You need to learn to make the shortest B-line to the cone while luring the chefs away from the food piles as much as possible, if that makes any sense. At the higher levels, if they get to those piles, you are often toast, as they start throwing them faster than a machine gun.I just used this strategy in MAME (with a lame ass keyboard controller) and got 103,000.
I have no clue how you guys play past about level 15. The chefs are much faster than you at that level. WTF? Do you start running faster at any point?

Bingo. My one dissapointment with FF is that it is more about learning to run away and dodge than "food fighting."Yep, it does. That, and I try to keep a chef in between me and any with food so that if they throw it, it hits them instead (if that made sense).
Just beware of how stiff those new joysticks can be. If you get used to the way it is you'll get a major workout with the new one.
No worries there. Jow knows just how stiff they can get and is not afraid.
Ahahaha! My current high is under SAW... Nice improvement. Real men start at level 1.Thanks for the suggestions, Sav:

Of course my joystick fails me when the initals screen comes up
BTW - I turned my machine back to TG marathon settings (so you get extra lives for more points, etc). I started this game on level 5. I think they say you can start anywhere from 1-9.
