Picked up this little gem this afternoon...

Im pumped to have a Ninty back in the lineup!

Its not working all the way right now, but I think the PCB is hooked up wrong? The PCB has the rainbow cable, but there is also a connector that goes from the PS (I think its marked P10) to the backside of the PCB (marked P10). I don't think you need both? If I need to hook that connector up somewhere else, let me know. I feel like its not right though, and may be the reason its not working.

Anywho, she should clean up nicely. The cab is dirty but is solid with only minor dings. Obviously it needs new sideart and a new CPO, but I want to focus on getting this bitch working before I worry about anything else.

Soon I will be William Mitchell...

Painted black on one side and not the other is odd!

Great score anyhow.

Yeah, it's almost like some op decided to convert it and then changed his mind halfway through. Have fun with this one. Sometimes it's nice restoring a game for which the parts are easy to find.

Awesome, JOW! EVERY collection needs to have a Donkey Kong. PERIOD. END OF STORY. THE END. I have two. :)

Fresno is not that far from Los Banos. When I lived there we would go out near Los Banos to fish the Delta Mendota canal and the California Aqueduct.

I bet if someone showed up with $300 cash and a truck they could take them all home.

Anyway, congrats on the new game. It's fun seeing them come together eh?

That's the lighting in the garage, it's all blue.

This was from a friend of a friend so no CL was involved (thankfully).

Can anyone speak on how the PCB should be connected?

Hey Jow nice score. I will never get rid of my DK.
I have a repro cpo that you can have for $10.00+ shipping if you want it.
It has minor light scratches where the clear dust washer was and another small scratch but otherwise it looks brand new.
I think those would polish out though.I didn't have it on the cp for very long.
On the board hook up,the rainbow cable is only needed for using the edge connector.
Pics will help to verify proper hookup.

Here are the pics. That connector from the PS goes to the back of the PCB. Is that right?

The 10p should go to the video board, where it looks like it is but you are missing the 9p which goes from the power supply to the p9 on the cpu board.
The rainbow cable is only to get power from the cpu to the video board when using the edge connector.
I don't know if it works like it is hooked up on yours.

Here is a wiring diagram that might help.
