I've been a long time arcade player. Loved a multitude of games growing up in the 80s and 90s.
How in the hell I never found these forums before is beyond me. I guess because the primary game machine I've owned for years never broke down and I never thought of messing with it (if it ain't broke, don't fix it).
I recently met a Forum Member (FullThrottle) and bought his old Ghosts n' Goblins cab (thanks again Karl, smokin' deal). If I didn't have my kid with me man, I probably would have still been in your living room when you got up to go to work the next day
I've got a Tron Cab which I've more or less had since 1991, sold it in 97' to a friend and bought it back in 2003. Recently its started having problems and is finally in need of some work.
So the gameplan so far is:
* Replace MCR power supply with a switcher
* New control panel overlay
* Find whatever the hell is wrong with the existing PCBs
* minor cleanup and cab repair/repainting
After that... man who knows... prob go crazy on the ghost and goblins cab.
Hopefully this won't become too serious of an addiction. lol.
Anyway wanted to say hi to everyone and thanks for hosting such an awesome forum!

You can see why the machine needs a new overlay:
Side Art is still holding in there pretty well:
