It's a pretty cool story actually. Got a call out of the blue, from someone I don't know, who found a Mr Pinball classified wanted to buy ad I placed over 2 years ago.

Anyway, after many e-mail exchanges, I came home with this tonight :)

It is still in the truck. Will post many more pics once it's set up in the basement. I can't wait!!!

Thanks!

The PF is not that bad. Not perfect, but it's not bad for the price I paid for the game, IMO.

I will get pics once I have it set up.

I just cant enjoy the split level playfield.
I have a flash gordon and cant stand it.

The music is one of the things that drew me to the game actually. It is So awesome!

When I had one before, I used to put it in music test just to listen to the music!!!

I like the music on most if not all of the System 11 machines. Was a great series in pinball in my opinion.

I know people think this is a one trick pony, but I like it alot.

The first pin I ever owned and I really miss it. One word of advice though if it has mylar DO NOT remove it. I discovered after I tried that BK2K is well known for just being destroyed in the process. I have heard a few theory's as to why but I still cringe thinking about it. I will probably end up paying a lot for a nice one someday. But I really LOVE that game.

Yeah, I was aware of the mylar on these. This title is particularly notorious for that happening :(

I wish I had not sold the NOS playfields I had long ago. Live and learn!

I love the game too. I don't think this one will be leaving anytime soon.

Well, after playing this for a few weeks, I started the official teardown. The playfield and pretty much everything was filthy. I ordered new jet bumper and flipper parts, a new ring set, and am still trying to find a plastics set, as the plastics on this are worse than I originally thought. Oh well. Anyway, here is how he sits currently:

On a side note, who was the genius that decided to use metal lead lamp sockets for the jet bumpers that are stapled to the bottom of the playfield??!! What a pain in the but to get them removed!

What's the story on the mylar with these machines? Was the adhesive more powerful than what's used on other pins?

Seen a video of Jeri Ellsworth removing mylar off off BK2000 and she had no problem doing so with freeze spray and going real slow. Nice find by the way, how is the shop job comin along?

Honestly I don't know for sure, but I know it seems more adhered than most :(

This amazes me. I don't doubt she did it, I am just suprised. I tried that method with a spare set of trashed fields and had less than stellar success.

The last pics I posted are the way it is sitting now. Waiting on parts to arrive from Action Pinball :)
