First machine that you just got bored with?

TSPP is fantastic, probably the deepest game I've ever played. The orbit shots are tough, the treehouse shot is tough, and the couch shot is pretty tough until you get it dialed in.

Also, with TSPP Alien Invasion is just the begining. I got to AE in my frist 10 or 20 games, but I've only been to the Springfield Mystery Spot twice. I havn't even been close to pretzel multi ball and you can forget about the super duper extreme wizard mode or whatever it's called. AE and SMS in one game can easily put you up near 150mil.

And, don't forget to stack anything and everything with everything else. TSPP is going nowhere.

Stern makes some great games, and they made some turds, but so did every company.

I've always really enjoyed RCT, but I've also made it to the wizard mode on more than one occasion, so I have to wonder about its longevity. A buddy sold his because he got to the wizard mode after owning it for 45 minutes. Kinda killed the thrill for him.

I think a lot of the new Sterns have the same problem (too easy, games go on forever, etc.), but there are a few that just kick my butt. POTC and Simpsons come to mind. I guess I like harder pins, those are the ones that keep me coming back.

BSD.

Of the pins I've owned so far, it was fun the first month, then I was over it. It's an ok pin (challenging), but definitely won't own one again. Dark theme, music and sound samples way too cheesy and repetitious, the music and sounds are kinda blah. I can totally see why most love the game, or not like it at all.

Video mode was kinda cool.... and of course the "mist" magnet multiball is the best thing it has going for it. Other than that, it's a one trick pony.

There is a reason why that game is always for sale somewhere around $1300 :)

I agree. The whole point of the game is the multiball stacking, which is extremely fun and very challenging, but there aren't many different ways to play the game. The multiball stacking is one of the most rewarding of any game, however.

The Getaway I have grown tired of for a long time now. Also, stuff I've played on location I've worn the pants off of. One that really comes to mind is Stern's Playboy. I remember playing it at an arcade here for over an hour on one ball. I was getting seriously bored with how easy it was. A lot of the Williams System 11 stuff that I like I can see as getting boring, but I do like games with a good flow and speed to them even if it is repetitive events so it just depends on the game. I've never been a fan of Rollercoaster Tycoon myself either.

Yeah I suppose I got bored of BSD a little....but not enough to sell it. I still love the gameplay, sound, light choreography, DMD animation ...it's in the garage right now needing minor repairs. I think I'd regret selling it.

You know what I am really bored with right now? Firepower! I definitely know that the older games are just not my cup of tea. I told myself I won't sell my only working pin! LOL
