My first was a 4 player dedicated Desert Assault game I bought from the owner of a local skating rink for $400 which I converted into a dedicated 4 player TMNT

That'll be 2 years ago in September. Now I'm working on my 2nd project - a cocktail Ms. Pac-man

My first was a 2 Player trackball Cabal. I love that game even though everyone else I know has never heard of it. Got it for $150 on ebay. And then I was hooked.

I used to love playing Cabal. I don't have a trackball cabinet, so had to settle for the joystick controlled Blood Bros.

Just started to get into the classic arcade scene (loving it btw). Purchased my first dedicated classic arcade cab from parrothead here in socal, a crazy climber cocktail for $300.

that crazy climber looks exactly like one that a guy in OC was selling a few weeks ago. if its the same one its pretty damn nice. I saw it at his yard sale and then on craigslist a week or so later....then again on craigslist as part of some lot sale. Any luck getting replacement legs?

I think its one and the same...monitor has some slight pinkish hue on the left side (outside of the field of play) and the colors on the middle portion of the screen are a little faded...but other than that its very nice. Checked with quartertime, they had a replacement monitor and chassis but it was almost as much as I got the cab for

Do you think its worth it to replace?

As for the legs, no luck as yet, but its kinda a good thing that they don't have them atm. I have zero space at my house and minus the legs, the cocktail fits underneath my computer desk when not in use

i am new to this. i bought my first game in May of 06. now i have 3. love it. my first was Soul Edge for $150. now i have a dedicated Double Dragon and a twin sitdown Outrunners.

I got Bad Dudes vs Dragonninja for 120 bucks about 5 years ago. I set it to hard and turned off continues.

To this day, I am still not a bad enough dude to rescue the president.

First game purchased was a final fight for $100.00 3 years ago. 70+ machines have come and gone through my door since then and the addiction still continues.

Restored machines in my collection;
Tempest, QBert, Frogger, Dig Dug, Star Wars(still working on this one) Galaga, DK, DKjr. Ms. Pac Space Duel, Centipede, Tron, Playchoice10(dual monitor) Popeye, Cruisin World, Tapper, Burgertime(almost finished with restoration) Multi Williams(waiting to be built)

My first game was Ironman Offroad 3 player, it was about a year ago. I paid $300, fully working and overall good condition, the usual scuffs and marks... I got the help of a friend, and borrowed one of the vans from work. We drove about 200 miles roundtrip, in the pitch dark, pouring down rain, out to the middle of nowhere (which is funny, now I live about 5 miles from where I bought it, the middle of nowhere!) and brought it back to Seattle... that was the easy part. At the time, I lived on a second story of an apartment building. Now, before I bought it I physically measured everything three times, and it would fit. I underestimated the weight, and how hard it is to go up 20 stairs without a dolly or anything! We're standing outside, with the arcade machine at the bottom of the stairs. Immediately, I start calling everyone in the area to come lift! We got 4 other guys (5 including me) and went step by step. I actually got crushed by the machine going up the stairs. I was on top of it, in control of picking up and pulling to the next step. The guys started getting a second wind and pushing faster and faster, and I can't get my feet up to the next stairs quick enough! Eventually, they all decide they're tired, and set the machine down on top of me, flattening me, almost crushing me to death! Then we had to pick it up and over a 3 foot rail, sideways, and not drop it the 12 feet down! The neighbor saw us struggling with this task and helped with the extra muscle we needed. Long story short, it did make it in the apartment, and we played the hell out of it all night, practially no sleep. Then I moved out a few months later... By then I bought an appliance dolly and going down was a breeze!

I figure if I want to continue and play it on easy, that's what the NES is for. I find that just freeplay and continues meaning nothing takes the "real arcade" feeling out of it. There's nothing like the feeling I got the first time I beat street fighter ii or Super Mario Bros on 1 quarter.

Vanguard, I purchased that in the late eighties. Put it in a friends bar to pay for itself, then brought it home. Traded for a Universal Cosmic Alien about three years ago.
