Couldn't pass up the deal for the AD on Craigslist. Said it was working all the way. The picture on CL showed it working in place so I didnt bother checking when I picked it up.

The game is in really REALLY great shape. It has 19k clicks on the meter. CPO is not worn but it is cracked in all the right places plus the usual cig burns. Buttons are a bit grimy as expected. The inside is pristine.

I brought it straight to my office. I am going to keep it here for the time being. Gives my coworkers something to do.

The side art is ripped in a few places; nothing major. The cabinet is very solid.

I brought it here in the pouring rain. I wrapped it up with stretch wrap in place then loaded it up on my truck.

Of course, when I fired it up, id had no neck glow but I could hear the HV. After dealing with the bummed out co-workers, I drilled the locks to look for weed, sex toys, turtles, etc... What did I find? Nothing! Not even dust!

Fast Forward to today. I brought my tools with me to work and decided to work on the deflection board at lunch. I figured I would try the simple "fix" of reflowing the headers. Seems to have done the trick. The only thing left to do is replace the black light bulb (or starter), clean the buttons and possibly look for an NOS overlay or a repro.

Do you own the place? I always wonder how people get to keep
a video game in their office at work. My work would freak.

Nice AD BTW:) Glad it was an easy fix.

Nice score. Love the looks of that cab.

I had a Zaxxon game in our lunchroom for a time being. The only guy that played it on a regular basis must have been in his 70s.

If I were to add one to my collection, it'd be in that shape. Nice grab!

I just swapped the starters and it looks like the one for the black light was bad. The white black light still works great! I'd bet it is the original bulb too. The screws for the light sled have never been out!

Nice one Tom B!

Yeah I figured that it would be one of the SB classics dudes that would go for it as it looked to be in great shape. I thought about it for about 2 secs... but I'm really trying to reduce down my own collection to things I really want.

You game-snatcher! :)

Congrats... I just wish the seller was nice enough to even write back to me.

Tom, looks pretty nice!

Before you waste a new blacklight bulb, meter the ballast and then try a regular bulb in there. I burnt out a new blub in a DOT before I figured that one out.

I saw that post when it showed up on CL - I wondered who got the game...

I'm glad it went to a KLOVer!

Congrats on the deal!!! It sure looks clean.

I swapped the starters on the two fixtures and the black light fired up! Just need to bring a starter and a magic eraser on Monday.

A couple of guys would pop in every so often to see if their score was beat. Two guys were in a competition. Is there a high score save kit for AD?
