First Game of 2011: Rampage!!!

The only bummer about this, is that you have so many other projects and so little free time that this game will sit in your garage, unloved.

*SUPER SIGH*

Wrong-o little camper, now pick up that plump, luscious lip and do something constructive with it. Remember Pig-Out? 2 weekends of bondo and paint and into the gameroom it went. It's actually nice when there's no repro artwork available. You get to be resourceful and use your skills to clean up what you've got rather than having to tear everything off and start over. Much like Fritz's last peckerless John, this one won't be waiting in the garage long.

Rampage was the 2nd game I ever bought. I could care less if people dislike it or not.
It is a bitch to move....
and I hauled in a Honda CRV... no joke.

Cool! That should be a fun one to fix up. Rampage is pretty sweet, and it's a game I hope to get sometime in the future.

Congrats on adding one to your collection!

I thought I loved rampage until I bought one. It's pretty repetitive and didn't hold up to the memories I had of playing it with friends BITD. I still own it but it currently resides at a friends house a couple miles down the road where it gets played by his kids about a billion times more than I would play it if it were at my place.

Man, THAT is the right reason to have this game.
It's pretty fun, but the kids freakin LOVE it!!
I have many fond memories of playing it when I was younger too.

My kids are the same way, I enjoy the game, but they make it real fun......

Rampage rocks!!!! I played the heck out of that back in the day! Those big ol dammed Balky/Mid cabs are but ugly ;) Would love to see one restored right....Heck I probably would scratch build something custom for it...

I too played the hell out of this game when I was younger. I loved this game back then. Good job! Look forward to seeing it your basement!

Thanks guys, I am pretty stoked. Thanks for trying to bring me down Dan, but it won't work. You can't break me. How hard would this side art be to repro? I could probably peel this off in one sheet, if I could guarantee someone could repro it in a timely fashion. None of this 5 year shit. It seems pretty simple to me. I am not opposed to touching this up with paint, but man new side art would be keen.

I always thought that Rampage side art was stenciled on. Hmmm... I guess not. I don't recall who exactly it was, but I do remember seeing a thread here where the guy used masking tape and a stencil to repaint the sides.

I think that it would be more expensive to get the stickers repro'd because of the large size. But I'm sure it could be done; it's only a matter of who would do it.

EDIT: Here is the thread: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=131937&highlight=rampage+restoration
I'd look there for some inspiration to see if that is where you would like to go for this project.

Rampage is a cool game. The monster theme is very cool. I can't think of many other three player games.

Speaking of that, I saw a dedicated 3 player Gain Ground for sale recently, that's a pretty rare game.

It's a big vinyl decal. You can see the screen dots in each color gradient. I peeled a big loose chunk off after moving it into the garage.

Leland's PigOut is a 3 player game, and I happen to have one. Rampage will go next to it.

If anyone needs a bezel for the 3 player, 25 inch version of Rampage, I have one and it's in great shape. Gratis, you pay the shipping. It's glass, big and I imagine packing and ship will run $20 at least. I have been trying to give this away for years now.

Since Phett started the thread, he has fist dibs. It sounds like he already has one, so if he demures it's open season. Post a pic of your Rampage in this thread, and PM me your address.

I was just thinking of trying to shove a 25 inch monitor in this machine. You're telling me there was a factory bezel made for a 25 inch monitor? Sweet, what does it look like? Color me possibly interested.

Well, based on the size of the thing I figured (assumed?) it went to a 25 inch game. I can measure the window portion of it and see for sure I guess.

Anyone know if Rampage actually did come in a 25 inch version? The flyer doesn't mention one way or another.
