Although it's been said many times, I just want to post a big thanks to this forum and those frequent troubleshooters on here.

Just did my first cap kit on a Sanyo EZ this weekend and nothing blew up! No everything went perfectly and fixed the common foldover issue just fine. It's largely in part to these forums that I was able to take on the challenge- and it wasn't that tough at all.

To all of you thinking about doing your own- go for it! I had never soldered a circuit board before this.

i had to reply and give a big thanks aswell, im the same as the OP i came into this hobby with no knowledge of electronics or soldering etc and now i know how to put in a cap kit and do minor trouble shooting thanks everyone!!

+1. I came into KLOV knowing how to solder but that was about it. I've done a couple 20ez, a nintendo 18" cocktail, a k4900, socketed some RAM on my DK, and repaired some traces and components to resurrect a dead Mario Bros board. Lots of great information here for anyone who wants to get into the repair aspect.

The members here are great and have helped me so much. It takes a serious love for the hobby to answer the same 10 to 15 questions hundreds of times.

Thanks again to all!

And I've said it once and I'll say it again - man if you manage to do a Sanyo - you can do ANY of them. The Sanyo is the worst and most tedious of the bunch!

Here here! Alot of great people on this site! It is an absolute wealth of knowledge! What the heck did people do before the internet!?!??!
Thanks to all that have helped me over the past year! I couldn't have done it without you!
