(It's a video)

Here is my first cab, a Ms. Pac, that we picked up 4 hours one way away yesterday. My dad and I tweaked things, cleaned, checked voltages, etc. until we got a gobbedly gook screen (we even got the Gencomp logo to come up). We reseated the Ms. Pac daughtercard, and Voila! She fired right up. Currently she is in the garage and converted to a Miss Packman Plus (a great hack if you ask me).

I'm amazed at the condition, especially the mint grommet and nearly unscratched bezel. It wasn't $600, $500, $400, not even $200. It was only a mere $100.
The coin meter says it has 059,819 plays on it. She's made $14,954.75 in her lifetime, more than paid back for herself.
Enjoy!

Congrats on a sweet pickup! Now you can finally change your sig...

Good for you, glad you finally got one. I bought my first machine when I was 15 I believe, I still remember it, it was very exciting.

You got a good price too. That would have been a pretty solid buy at $400.

I got my first pacman for $50 back around 1990. It didnt and never did work. I left it at my dads when I moved out and he proceded to cut it up with a chainsaw and it was burned in the fireplace :(
The sad thing is it was in really good condition. It just had a board problem which I could fix in a few minutes now. Back then the internet was not what it is today and I had no idea where to even start to fix it.
Flash forward to around 2004....my next "first" machine was.....wait for it......a pacman! I picked it up for around $300 on ebay. I still have this one.

Yer board is fulla dried up capacitors. Thats why there's a hum in the speaker. Advise having them replaced very soon to avoid other problems....

Thanks, but the hum has been since fixed. It was just the fuse connector again not getting full power. Now the fuse connectors are good as new.
