I was doing some searching for you and I couldn't find a place to purchase them. But I was able to find this:

Maybe you can mess with it and get it printed somewhere as an alternative if you can't find one to buy already made.

Also, I am new and I am extremely jealous! I can't wait to get one of these of my own!

Thanks! If all else fails I will try to print that out as an alternative. Thanks for finding that!

Wish there was an overlay like the CPO overlay - apparentley its made to the same specs as the original according to their website. Not enough interest restoring the headphone/memory card overlay by them?

If someone gets these printed up, let us know. I'm sure there's at least a few people who would want them. I didn't even realize thats what that little plate was for...mine is completely bare red paint.

The Neo Geo is a fantastic machine and an excellent find for your first game. It looks like you bought it working which is always a plus but let us know if you need any help with anything. Take care sir.

Nice pickup! I just started restoring an MVS myself. You definitely went the right route by getting a CPO from quarterarcade.com. Mine was spot on! It's thicker and more durable than the original but looks identical. I have some pics here: http://s1013.photobucket.com/albums/af252/allentoliver/Arcade Stuff/MVS/ including a comparison of the old vs new CPO. Also, I had my CP sandblasted and powder coated.

Anyway, I know what you mean about the memory card graphic. I broke mine getting it off :(. IIRC I read a thread where someone had good luck getting the yellow out with a Magic Eraser. Possibly worth a shot since yours is still intact. I've been wanting to look into getting a replacement made. I'll post if I find out anything.

Good luck with the rest of the restore and keep posting your progress :)

I tried to get people on Neo-Geo.com to recreate some of these decals (in fact the image you linked to is mine) but they weren't interested.

A guy that bought a 2 Slot project from me said he used some Magic Eraser to clean up the yellowing on the decal. To the guy who said his plate was just red paint, try gently stripping the paint, I bet the decal is still under there.

Indecks do you have a high res image of the at picture you could send me?

I could see how they turn out being printed on sticker paper or maybe even send it to a printers to see how much it would be to have them pro printed.

From there I could get a cost for anyone needing them...

Any ideas whay type of paper I should ask the printers about if I go that route?

I'll pm you my info.

I've got some stuff I did with it, as well as a couple of .ai files for Adobe Illustrator. I dont have Illustrator installed, so I cant look at them. I think I was vectoring them. But I'll upload them in a bit and let you know where to get them.

My wife has illustrator, I can convert them to another format if you want.

I think that is the place people have been having troubles with.

Thanks for chiming in all, will defiantley post as I will certainly have questions to come!

Will try magic eraser and see how that pans out.

I found the decals for the 4/6 slot!
If anyone needs these:

they are at:

but no love for the 2 slot :(

There is a Ne geo thread on here somewhere with a lot of info, when I have more time I'll find it and post a link for you.

I've uploaded the two .ai files as well as all of the other images I was messing with when I was trying to get this into reproduction, into a zipped file. You can download it here. Be warned, it's about 200 megs so don't do this if you're on dialup.

right click and save me

The problem I encountered though, was with the little coin slot images. If you look closely at the original plate you have or even the scans I have, you can see a 'fade' in there. It's difficult to reproduce. I Think someone else helped me with that, but I can't seem to find those files. If i find them, I'll let you know.

Thanks for the files Indecks!
Those are awesome!

I was thinking if these print well, to use a piece of lexan cut to size (hardest part would be to cut out the bolt holes) and use a spray adhesive to apply on the the printout and the lexan.

Let me mess around with it and see how it turns out.

I didn't realize how big that decal is...I thought it would fit on a regular size sticker printer paper (8.5x11) but looks like I will have to find legal or elongated sticker/photo paper....

On a side not though, I noticed that my player 2 coin slot is giving x2 credit for player one but NO credits for player 2 (right player).

On the hardeware test mode both the coin slot switches activate independently and are registering correctly ..but in gameplay it does the strange 2 x credit for left player when activating player 2 (right player)?

Any suggestions?
