Hello all, I am not a gamer or an arcade collector and just happened to get a Sammys Turker Huning USA arcade for our basement and had a few questions.

The system works great, is there a modification to get better quality video / resolution?
Does anyone know where i can get replacement graphics / decals or PDF versions of them?
On the cabinet edges there is a black trim, anyone know where i can find rolls of it?

Picture attached, the gun holding arms we pulled off to paint.

For better resolution/clarity install a cap kit for the monitor chassis model you have - https://www.arcadepartsandrepair.com/ Looks like a MK2 or MK3 cabinet so good chance its a 25" POLO but confirm. Then dial in the focus/BLK/color levels. You can get into more adjustments later but start there.

For side art try a google search or check with Phoenix Arcade/ This Old Game / Escape Pod / Game On Graphix / Arcade Art Repro

For T- Molding buy it from https://www.t-molding.com/

A cap kit could help certain things but doubt it will make the image more clear and definitely won't improve "resolution".

Light gun games will typically have their contrast and/or brightness cranked up to improve gun shot recognition. This will cause the colors to "bleed" and image to appear fuzzy or not clear. It will also reduce the life of the tube/guns.

Since you aren't likely to have a tube tester/restorer, I would start by learning how to correctly color balance and adjust (focus, b+, etc) the crt. If you can't get good picture while simultaneously having good shot recognition, you will want to see about have the tube checked with a restorer.
If brightness or focus are drifting (brighter or dimmer, blurry more fuzzy, after being on for 10-15 min), then I would look at adding a new flyback w/ your cap kit.

A game with shitty old dried out caps will improve clarity by doing a cap kit. Thats one of the main reasons we do it. Wavy lines, blurring, faint colors, the inability to adjust and focus the image all can be cured by a cap kit. This is not to say that something else can't be causing the issue and a cap kit will always fix it but this is the most logical starting point. If your linking the word resolution to meaning lines and dots then I suppose your correct. But I seriously doubt the OP had this in mind.

And specifically with light gun games you have much better shot recognition with a bright crisp clean picture that as you stated is often blurred as a result of over contrast/brightness to get shots registering.

Everything else I mentioned already.

Some swift responses on these forums, there is no lines or dots. Blurred? maybe, i figured it was just the age of the game. I will try the cap kit and flyback kit and see how it looks.

Some tips:

"Arcade" is the establishment/building/ a place with a collection of games.
"Arcade Game / Machine" is the big wooden thing with electronics inside which you stand/sit-at and play.

Came here looking for room decoration advice and was disappointed. LOL

Get with the times. Arcadegame is McLemore approved.

When I referred to lines and dots it's in reference to the actual definition of resolution (pixels). My assumption was that when you said resolution you were describing a blurry image and not looking for a higher resolution picture (more lines/dots).

If I was looking for "room decoration advice" my questions would have been phrased differently or different questions all together. The advise I was looking for was restoration and cosmetics of the "arcade game / machine".
DB replies are not necessary, crass comments online is not going to make you bigger or tougher. I would recommend starting off with some pushups

I contacted arcadepartsandrepair.com and going to get some more information of the monitor chassis when I am home to get all the correct parts.
I called a few of the companies for decals with no luck, waiting to hear back from Suzohapp and hoping they may have decals or PDF versions

There's no point in spending money doing that stuff - your game is a (sloppy) conversion. Either play it for what it is and be happy with it, convert it back to Mortal Kombat II, or sell it for something you would rather have now that you are more familiar with the landscape.

Watch it be a Radikal Bikers, lol

Actually, has any of the paint chipped off in a way to see what was underneath? While it might not be Turkey hunting theme, what might be under it could look cool. I havent seen much artwork for any if the Sammy hunting games, they tend to look like this more often than not. At least from what I've encountered

When I found this, I was specifically looking for a hunting game (would have preferred a dual shooter). I am not worried about it being a low end or sloppy game and spending 100-200 extra to make it nice is well worth it.

It may have been a different game at some point, there is paint / decals under the chips, the control board has cutouts for joystick and buttons and there are alot of extra cables by the control board and to the ecu
