Hey guys, I have a firepower that was working perfectly until a game ended and a new one wouldn't start. Everything appears to be working, lights are blinking etc in attract mode. But it doesnt respond to credits or starting a game. Any ideas where to start?

Check that all three balls are registering in the ball trough. Check switches and make sure everything is good.

Sounds like it is probably a ball issue, but just to be sure, have you coined it up?

Make sure all 3 balls are in there. You can take the apron off (the metal V-shape at the bottom of the pin) if you need to.

Chances are, either you don't have enough balls in the machine (easy fix) or the switches/etc aren't working (not hard, but not as easy as adding a ball).

If you have an extra ball, just drop it in. It should automatically 'click' and add the ball if you were missing a ball. If not, it is probably the trough switches.

There is a very, very rare chance your start button is missing a wire or not working, but I've never seen this happen, personally.

Thanks for all of the advice. I took a look at the ball trough and all 3 switches were being made. I downloaded the manual and saw that it has an auto diagnostic check. I ran it through that and found that none of the solendoids fired. Upon closer inspection it turns out the solenoid fuse is blown. What should I check next for the cause of the blow fuse?

Check and see if theres a broken or missing diode on the coil

I just checked the resistance across all of the coils, it's hard to tell the reading because my MM's lowest setting is 2k. On all but the 2 flippers I got a reading of 0.005 Ohms which should be good, but the both of the flippers read 0.002 Ohms. Again its hard to tell if this is too low due to the MM. I removed a wire from each flippers lug as well as the diodes and each still read 0.002 Ohms. I would expect these to be a bit lower than the rest, and am doubful these are the cause. Any other ideas?

For now i would change out the blown fuse and play for awhile and see if it happens again
