I am working on a firepower but it stays in test mode. I have tried to turn it on off like the manual says. Any Ideas

Is that with known-good batteries installed on the board, or with no batteries installed?

For the "on/off" trick, you typically have to flip the power switch very quickly, FYI.

Verify whether having the coin door closed makes a difference as well.

Multiple possible board issues can cause the game to get stuck in audit mode otherwise. Are you able to go in and view audits/change settings, etc?

First spot to inspect is the battery holder. Make sure the batteries are good, and that you've got good voltage heading out of them. The rapid off-on sequence, you have to do it REALLY fast.

Also check the voltage at TP7 on the CPU board, this is the test point for the battery power. You should see around 4 volts there.

If the voltage at the test point is good, but it keeps going into audit mode, then you need a new 5101 RAM chip.
