The scores for player 1 and 2 have been going in and out, but would usually come back and could read the score. Lately, I am just getting a couple segments on player one. The game has always had one missing segment on the master display. I checked R1-R14 and replaced 4 of them. Checked the UDN according to Clay's guide and didn't see anything wrong. Where should I look next?

Included a couple of pictures to help.

Yep, start with header pin solder joints.... don't forget the CPU and power supply boards too. New wiring harness connectors for anything using molex pins too. When you see uneven brightness like that, it's generally a connector issue.

May need another look for bad resistors for the player 2 and 3 displays as well.

Thanks for the help. I am more of a video guy, and makes sense with the connectors. I will resolder the header pins and look at the connections of any molex connectors. Hopefully, I will have a chance to look at this some time this week.

Mine turned out to a bad display. I replaced a few resistors, and they were getting hot again. I have a temperature gun with a laser on it so i figured i would use this to check. All the other resistors were very cool except the one. (oh and when I replaced the bad resistors it still didn't fix the segments) I read on Marvins about a display possibly being bad so I unplugged all of them, plugged them in one at a time and checked resistor temp. Found the culprit, number 3 display and as soon as i unplugged it my segments came back!
I now have a three player Firepower with great displays, anybody have an extra display for me? Lol.

Resoldered the header pins and displays came back. However, I am still missing the segment on player 3 and 4. Disconnected player 3 and player 4 was now working. Disconnected player 4 and still had the missing segment on player three.

Is there something I can check or is the a sign that I need a new score display for player 3?

Thanks for the help.

You should post on the rec.games.pinball group. I had a problem with the display on my F14 Tomcat and there was a guy on there who was VERY helpful.

Move player 3 to other locations, if the problem follows the display then that's it. I guess you could switch 3 and 4 around to see if the player 3 spot is bad. Either way you should be able to at least figure out if it's the display or the location....good luck, great pin.
