Trucked on down to see Anthony at quarterarcade today to pick up my new fire truck game from him.
( see http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=95704 )

It was great to meet another klov'r and see his game room (sweet! I might add). The trip took about 9.5 hours total, but was well worth it.
To make sure this really happened, here's a pic of my new sweetheart in the garage

(from http://picasaweb.google.com/timiskander/071809). Advertised as a non-working project, but after fiddling around just a little bit (and realizing the seat had to be plugged in (coin door interlock) she plays blind :)

Time to test my woodworking skillz on some ratty parts of the cab, and hopefully get the side art scanned in in the process.

Nice! I remember dropping lots of quarters into that along with the Sprint 2 at the skating rink when I was a kid. Fun game with 2 players!

Thanks guys..
I always sucked at this game :p but I should be able to practice up and improve my driving a bit now.. If I remember, its especially hard to drive from the back (don't even think about it!).

cheers

Yep I got ArcRevivals Fire Truck years ago and have been very happy with it. I need to pull it out of the garage and place it back into the arcade.

Fire Truck Registry......

I wonder how many are out there besides what's featured on VAPS? No production numbers either for the two player.....any guesses?

Ah man!......I've been trying to find one of these for my dad. He was a Detroit Fireman for 35 years. Was a tillerman many times when stationed at houses that had a tiller truck. This would look good in his memorabilia room, showcasing his years of service on the DFD.

Why not ask Howard Delman, the programmer/engineer? ;)

I just recently dropped him an email about our Superbug Cab and he was really delighted that people are still interested in his work after so many years! Nice Guy :)

We were also talking about Fire Truck and he mentioned that not many were made...

And I almost forgot (shame)... a big thanks to chas010 for giving me the heads up that this game was for sale... I probably would have missed it completely
