Very easy and kept it basic. I wanted to use a CRT but graphically it just wouldn't take. Very excited to have every game in 1 cabinet.

Not sold on the shape of the cp, but I'm liking the design on it. Either way nice work man!

Edit: this is what I get for being quick to post. I miss the making of shots. What game was this at first?

Had a steel shop duplicate the 3 player Mercs CP with no holes. Told graphic designer to keep it simple. I wanted a bigger screen but due to CP being so close to the monitor it would be over kill. Currently has a 22" but can fit a 24-25.

Before anyone piles on, I bought the Mercs cabinet gutted. It had a Knights of the Round in it but the seller was a 13 year old kid so I helped him put it into a better cabinet.

Good start. Did you ever consider putting a 7th button a little offset below the 6 buttons to the left? Pretty much like the xgaming setup but 7 buttons, not 8. That way you can use the bottom row along with it to play neo geo games with the right layout. Past that good luck with the hyperspin setup. I've seen it work well as long as you don't go overboard with the games.

The key to success is to stick the dust washer between the wood and plexi. You simply sand or route down the area around the stick hole a bit then insert the plastic washer between the wood and plexi. It looks nice... works nice... and doesn't scratch off the graphics on top.

Nice Hyperspin setup!

I agree... Dust covers look way better than hole-cuts IMO.

I prefer dust washers under the CP on metal CPs and on top of the CP on wood CPs.

Not sure how I missed it is a metal CP... just move them to under... and of course polish up the hole a bit.

Nephasth said it best: for metal, under... For wood, top. Unfortunately for me all my games have wood CPs and I'm simply waaaay too lazy to make a small route to sandwich between the CP and some plexi. Just cover with plexi and dust cover over that. Works for me at least...

Do you ever put your underwear on over your pants? They always go under regardless of pants type. ;)

I think this practice started with sloppy operator conversions. You can choose sticks with an inset base or stand it off with some small washers if you don't want to route for clearance.
