Recently purchased a game and don't have keys for it. It is an Atari cocktail but the top is open. No drilling required.

I would like to keep it exactly the way it came and leave the original locks in it.

Can a key be made for the lock if I take it to a lock smith?

How else could I go about finding the original key?

When I lack a key and don't want to replace the lock with a new one, I take it apart and remove the pins/disks from it. Then any key (or a screw driver, or most anything flat) can operate the lock. Obviously this solution is only for home use.

I suppose a locksmith should be able to (find or) make a key for it. Might be an odd request, but if you *really* want a key for the original lock, and want the lock to actually lock, and don't mind paying a locksmith... go for it.

I'd replace the lock if it were mine, but any locksmith worth anything will be able to cut a key for that in 5 minutes.

Cutting a key for these locks is a pretty simple task for anyone with the know how and proper tools. A locksmith can cut you a new key in a few minutes.

That's what I was hoping. I would really like to keep the original locks. I will probably just have a new key cut.

Thanks for the info.
