Hi all,

Anyone have any good sources for finding smooth head, black carriage bolts?

I need some #10-24 carriage bolts, 1 x 1/4" long, black. The ones I can find typically have manufacturing marking on their heads.

You might have to trim them a little but try here

I think you're probably best off getting a normal zinc bolt and painting them yourself. I was in the same boat and found if you use Rustoleum semi gloss spray paint, you can get really good results. i use a primer as well.

Black oxide isn't really an option either as they really aren't all that black.

I've been painting some other parts with the semi and it looks really good. Not too shiny and not too flat.
