Tonight I finally completed the very last task for the Williams Multigame... i'd been putting it off and putting it off... much like the incomplete control panel on the less used side of my cocktail (over 2 years now)... it just never seems to get done.

BEHOLD! Lighted start buttons!

I just tried using the leaf joysticks available from bob roberts (currently) on mine ... and I hate the way it feels. Im trying to figure out what ones to get and where.

Hold out and go Wico...even if they are the 3.5" shafts...it's worth it.

If you aren't familiar with leaf spring joysticks no matter what you use you'll probably not like them. Are you comparing the leaf spring joystick to a micro switch joystick?

Try PM ing WU. (a member here) He had a bunch of wico sticks for sale a few months back. He may still have some left. I got a couple from him and they are good.

Actually I haven't seen him post for a while come to think of it. anyway, It's worth a try.

Is there a trick/technique for adjusting the leaf switches on the Wico's? I'm using 3.5" Wico's on my Williams Multigame, and I'm having trouble with the diagonals registering.

And per Deadly's comments, I'm used to micros and so far I'm a little underwhelmed. I'm hoping it's because they're not tweaked perfectly.

The "trick" is to bend them so they register properly. You will see a piece of more rigid metal (than the leaf pieces) behind the leaf switch - push on that to set where the leafs need to be. Used to have to do this on new conversions or just make adjusments out in the field if the stick response was sloppy (they get out of alignment over time). Also, be sure you have the correct bottom piece on the stick (small/large as that controls the 4/8 way action).

I like the old leaf switch sticks for most games...

I need to get a CP printed from an Illustrator file. Where did you get yours printed? I tried emailing BillyBob w/o success. Any suggestions?

Did you e-mail him or PM?
I e-mailed him twice last month and got responces in a few days both times. (I was asking if he was still printing, and then if it was OK to let people know he was)
He said he was very busy at work and just to let people know it would be about 2 weeks on printing jobs.
