FINALLY! The skating rink is about ready to open. WARNING! Lots of pics!

Talk about craziness. We have been working on this thing for 3 years now. I will post more pics as we progress though the last minute stuff.

Here is the first set of pics:

I hate to break it to ya bro but your photos... all of them... aren't working. Just the thumbnail is showing and if you click on it... you get an error message.

That's sweet! So what arcade games are you going to have in there?

And tell me you'll have late night broom ball available for parties. :)

We are waiting on flourescent carpeting to finish the other part of the floors where the games will go, and up on the plywood part of the walls in the rink. And I have to finish going through all the games that have been stored for EVER.

Games list as of today:

Candy Crane
Beanbag Buddies crane
Goldzone (redemption)
Deal or no Deal (redemption)
Silent Scope
Crazy Taxi
Hammer (redemption)
Solar Spin (redemption)
House of the Dead III
Sega Nascar Arcade (2)
ICE Fast Track stainless air hockey (was an HUO)
Big Buck Hunter Pro
32" to 40" LCD metal framed Multicade (as soon as I build it)
ICE Chocolate Factory crane
Wonder Wheel (redemption)
Austin Powers (redemption)
Silent Scope
Tekken 5
Beachhead 2000 multi (need more dongles!!!! HALP!!!)
Stacker (redemption)
I plan to trade our Revenge From Mars pinball (fully working) for two different pinballs so I will have one in each center. Have to be family oriented types.
And I am gonna pull some extra games from the main center to fill in the gaps.

I want newer stuff than those, but with this economy, I am having to use what I can find cheap. I can't even argue having classics with the boss, cause all the statistics are saying classics make squat right now. And you know those guys at Replay magazine know everything about the industry. LOL My boss swears by that crackpot mag.

Is that an epoxy floor that you're putting down in the pic? If so, what did you use (or is it a special rollerskating surface)? I'm looking to epoxy my garage floor in the spring... just wondering what you got and your opinion, if that's what it is.

Wow. I have to say, it is awesome to actually see a NEW roller rink being built in the year 2010. Good selection of games, by the way. Deal or No Deal is a great Earner for us, as is Wonderwheel. If you can pick up a slam a winner or cyclone for cheap, thats a great money maker too. And you are correct, while the older games are great for nostalgia and for the older group, it is hard to turn a profit on them. Keep up updated though and let us know how your venture turns out! Good luck!
