Nintendo cabs are friggin awesome to work on and to move. Nice score!
Sanyo monitor needing a cap kit .... never ... totally unheard of *sarcasm*
You might want to post a pic first .. you never know if the previous owner was a numb nut and tweaked a bunch of pots.

Nice pickup there. I'm still looking for a DK; it has eluded me for years. Maybe some other games became more important. Hope you get it up and running. Good luck!

Pretty good deal and looks to be in good shape. I just make it a habit of capping Nintendo monitors as soon as I get them. I see from the pic that a ground wire has been cut (green wire on the right side). Not a huge deal, but it should be hooked back up. - Barry

That could be for the monitor but most likely that's the grnd that runs up to the control panel. You'll know if it needs to be hooked up if your playing a game and get a jolt lol

Actually now that I look at it, I think that feeds the control panel and the monitor frame. It may also feed the coin door. I take it back it NEEDS to be hooked back up. - Barry

Welcome to the club! Looks like it's in good cosmetic shape. I'm sure you'll have it up and running in no time. Good luck!

I am not coming over to help you when your floor caves in! ha. Awesome pick-up man. Your party is gonna have a great selection of classics!

Don't worry the floor is supported in the basement. We are getting rid of the dining room table to make more room for the games. I picking up another game this weekend.

I dream of my wife giving me this option.

When I first started collecting she was against me having more than 3 games. With my job giving me stress, with the threat of layoff anyday now. She saw that I enjoyed my games because it gave me the stress relief from work. So she switched her whole stance, and now she almost encourages my hobby. She actually goes on craigslists now and finds games for me.

I see you got that from Brian in Richmond. I know him and I told him over the phone that there was no way of him getting $700 for it when he first made the post with the Ms Pacman. Everytime I seen the post another $100 or $200 came off the price. When he got to $300 I had stop by his house on the way home from richmond to look at it. Glad you got one, but that machine is going to need a lot of work. You should have pointed out the problems and talked him down to $200 because I think there was something wrong with everything on the machine. He said the lowest he would go is $300 when I was there and I told him good luck. Anyway good luck with cab and if you need anything let me know I have some extra Donkey Kong parts and the perfect color code for paint.

He wasn't even there lastnight when I picked it up. His father was there.

The game does work at least. I was playing it last night. No water damage. And it has common old cab problems. Well worth fixing.

He also gave me some extra parts, some monitors chassis, and a monitor. Probably don't work, but I will look at this stuff this weekend.

What Debbie Downer here is trying to say is CONGRATS ON THE NEW GAME!!!

;)

Thats cool that is atleast works, so you just have to do the cosmetics. I think I have some extra joysticks, decent overlay and a bezel that should be in better condition than that one when you get around to working on it. I can offer it for trades so you can keep the cost down on the machine, if you have any parts I need.
